Friday, January 15th

Hi Everyone,

We have been asked to conserve all resources, including power, so we will not be in as much contact as before. A nightly blog will still be done and individual team members may email once a day, but we are trying to save diesel for the generator.

God bless you today!

Heidi

  11. Hi Tim,

Bell Aliant CEO Karen Sheriff sent the following message out today (edited)
    - Bell Aliant has donated $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for Haiti relief.
    - We have Provided satellite phones on the Navy ships traveling to Haiti
    - Bell Aliant Pioneers are on standby to operate a temporary contact centre for the Red Cross
    - Long distance calling cards have been supplied free of charge to Haitian students studying at Université de Moncton
    - Priority messaging has been placed on bellaliant.net providing a direct link to the Red Cross for donations.

I sent a quick note to Karen to thank her and let her know that we have one of our own down there helping. We are all very proud of you and the HATS team. Stay safe!

  12. Tim,

Earlier today, one of your colleagues proudly sent me a link to your team’s blog, following a message that I posted about Bell Aliant’s $25K contribution to the Haiti Relief Fund. I wanted to send you a quick message to applaud you and your family’s efforts to help others during this tragic time. Good luck with both the work that you travelled to Haiti to accomplish, as well as the relief efforts that are so obviously needed. Keep us posted and stay safe.

  17. There will be a Yarmouth Ministerial Community Prayer meeting on Monday at 6:30pm. It will be held at The Salvation Army on Brunswick St. Spread the word. Everyone is invited to come along. Gerry, if you and your team have specific prayer requests, please let us know. And with so much coverage through this blog site alone, it would be awesome if other congregations throughout Canada would join us for prayer! Janice & Peter

  18. Heidi, Tim and family,

We are thinking of you all often when we see the photos and devastation that is being shown on every channel during the news. We can only imagine how much we aren't seeing. We pray that you, your family and all the rest of the team get out safely and home soon. We also pray for your continued safety and for the strength to be able to deal with the things you will see, smell and experience before you get home. God be with you all and continue to be your Guide through all that you do. We care about you and are thinking of you all.

    Still in our prayers,
    Heather & Rod Laybolt
